Junior Recruiter / Recruiting Development Representative (RDR)
Location: On-site – Des Moines, Iowa

Are you looking to start your career in recruiting and make a real impact by helping people find the right opportunities? Garman Partners is seeking a Junior Recruiter / Recruiting Development Representative (RDR) to join our high-energy team. You’ll support the recruitment lifecycle by sourcing, engaging, and qualifying candidates—especially in specialized industries like Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP).

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and grow into a full-cycle recruiter role.

What You'll Do:

  • Candidate Sourcing: Proactively search for qualified professionals using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and internal databases

  • Outreach (Phone & Digital): Conduct cold and warm outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, and LinkedIn messages to engage potential candidates

  • Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of active and passive candidates for current and future openings

  • Initial Engagement: Schedule and conduct intro calls to assess interest, availability, and basic qualifications

  • Support Screening Process: Partner with senior recruiters during interviews and assist with tracking candidate progress

  • Candidate Experience: Maintain a professional, timely, and positive experience for all candidates you interact with

What We’re Looking For:

  • Interest or experience in recruiting, sales, or customer-facing roles

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking on the phone

  • Willingness to make outreach calls and send targeted digital messages daily

  • Organized, proactive, and motivated to meet activity goals

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn or CRM/ATS systems is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree is a bonus, but not required
